Biography
J. I. Castillo-Velázquez [M´03, SM´10] has worked for 15 years in the computer and telecommunication industries as practitioner in the public and private sectors [TELMEX, IFE & DICI] as well as in public and private universities [UTM, UPAEP (Principal of Computer Engineering 02-03), BUAP & UACM] with 80 courses. He was an independent consultant for local companies and governments. Co-founder of Alter-Energies (05). Since 2008, he has been a tenured professor at Autonomous University of Mexico City. He has authored 25 journal and conference papers. He has organized multidisciplinar congresses and seminars, and has participated in more than 100 interviews for newsletters, radio and television. Castillo-Velázquez received a B.S. in Electronic Sciences, Ad Honorem, and M.Sc. in Semiconductor Devices (98) from Autonomous University of Puebla. He is an IEEE Senior Member.
