One of the big advantages of taking private classes is the personalized attention each student receives. This allows you to tailor your program according to your needs.
What do I mean? Well, if you only want to study some grammar points, for example: conditional, imperfect and subjunctive, we would study only those parts of the grammar.
At our first meeting we discuss your Spanish language experience and interests; and together, we create a study plan. Or, if you prefer, I will prepare a special program to boost your competence and confidence in Spanish.
One Saturday each month, we watch a film at my home in Spanish with subtitles in Spanish. All the students come to my place and enjoy the time together. Popcorn and drinks included!. In addition I offer special gatherings and outings for my students so we can celebrate important holidays and understand more of the customs and culture of Oaxaca. These are free extra activities.
Until November 2008, I taughtSpanish in a "Colonial Oaxacan Café" in the Central Historic District (Cafe Gecko,& Cafe Chatino). Now, I have my own classroom at home where you can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea during your Spanish lesson. I am located right on the bus line near Llano Park, just a few blocks from Santo Domingo Church and the main pedestrian walkway, Alcala.
If you would like to live with a Mexican family, I can help you with those arrangements before your visit to Oaxaca.
